Ben Goddard was announced as the recipient of the 2014 Democracy Medal from the International Association of Political Consultants.

The Medal was awarded to Mr. Goddard at the 47th Annual World Conference held in Rome, November 16-19.

Mr. Goddard is an accomplished political consultant who is, among his many global honors, widely credited with tanking HillaryCare in the early 1990s with a commercial that caught national attention and turned public opinion against President Clinton’s signature initiative.

Over the course of his incredible career, he’s worked with thousands of high profile clients around the world. In the winter of 1993, Ben traveled to Russia to help advise the first democratic election in the country. He did this work on behalf of the Yeltsin campaign pro-bono helping teach the campaign how to communicate with the public in a democracy.

Later, he helped setup the Global Alliance for Zimbabwe to help bring democracy to a country who has, for many years, been brutalized by an undemocratic dictator who subverted free and fair elections.

Ben Goddard also devoted countless hours to the growth and advancement of the IAPC. He served as President and Chairman of the organization and has, for many years, promoted and supported this organization.

We invite you to watch the tribute video to Mr. Goddard that was shown during the award ceremony at the IAPC World Conference in Rome.
