Join The IAPC

Thank you for your interest in joining the International Association of Political Consultants — a global community of leading political professionals dedicated to making democracy work around the world. We have members from more than 35 countries, and are growing every year.

Our membership rate remains at US$250.

As a member of the IAPC you enjoy:

Best of all, you are a member of an association where you will meet new friends and make contact with other political consultants from all over the globe. And you have the chance to participate in discussion on emerging political trends with some of the best minds in the business.

To apply for membership:

  • Simply fill in our Member Profile application page — NOTE: be sure to check the 'Apply for Membership' box to see and complete the full form.
  • Once you have clicked 'Submit' you will be sent two emails:
  1. The first contains your username and temporary password, and a link. Click the link to automatically log in — immediately hit the Edit tab above your name and change your password.
  2. The second contains a link to our payment page. If you haven't already paid, click the link and follow through to our secure PayPal page to pay with your credit card.
  • If you haven't received the emails within minutes, please check your junk folder.
  • Once you have paid, you will have full membership status (NOTE: final membership is subject to approval by the IAPC Board of Directors, who have the right to withdraw the membership of any applicant).

Important Note: If you do not pay your membership fee within 12 weeks of applying, your application will be deleted and you'll have to apply again.

Who can join the IAPC?

IAPC membership is open to individuals who have been active for at least five years in the communications arts and sciences of related activities for political or public affairs, and who share the IAPC’s commitment to fostering democracy around the world.

Most members are professional political consultants who counsel candidates, political parties, run campaigns or provide specialized services such as polling, fundraising, advertising, message development and communications. Members also include specialists in government relations, lobbying, political party employees and members of academia.

Important Notes:

  • All applications for membership must be approved by the IAPC Board of Directors.
  • Membership is not considered final until the member has attended an annual IAPC conference.
  • Individuals who do not qualify for membership are nevertheless welcome to attend IAPC conferences, provided they register at the non-member rate.
